Jazz Semiconductor, the leader in Analog-Intensive Mixed-Signal
(AIMS) foundry solutions and wholly owned subsidiary of Jazz
Technologies, Inc. (AMEX:JAZ) announces it has named Richard
Nakajima, Cubic Micro as Japan country manager. The Cubic Micro
office in Japan will serve as a base to accelerate business and
provide sales, marketing and customer support for Jazzs specialty
process technologies to address the needs of RF, power, and high
precision analog markets. According to the Semiconductor Industry
Association (SIA), the analog market in Japan for 2007 was
estimated at $5,585.6M which was 15.5% of the total worldwide
analog market. The high speed analog and wireless markets are
demanding higher performance, better noise margins and lower power
along with digital gates. Jazz is well positioned to meet the
requirements of the Japan market for high speed and wireless
applications. Jazz Semiconductors specialty AIMS technology
solutions including Silicon Germanium (SiGe) and Bipolar CMOS DMOS
(BCD) provide designers with increased flexibility, greater levels
of integration and higher analog performance than what is currently
available with CMOS technology. Jazz also provides leading design
enablement kits that allow customers to realize optimal performance
of their designs while reducing design cycle time. Richard
Nakajima has an extensive background in foundry services and a
record of high achievement," said Chuck Fox, VP of Sales and
Marketing. I am confident his leadership and experience will help
the sales team address our Japanese customers needs more
effectively, and drive Jazzs next growth phase in Japans RF,
power, and high precision analog markets." Commenting on his
appointment, Richard Nakajima said, I am pleased to join the
highly focused and committed Jazz team and I am looking forward to
further developing our customer base throughout Japan. Jazz
offerings including its advanced SiGe and BCD process technologies
meet the requirements and market demands for this regions high
speed and wireless applications." About Cubic Micro Cubic Micro is
