More airports to host Kiosk service over the next 12 months PHOENIX, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- SuperShuttle just made travel easier at Baltimore-Washington International airport (BWI) with the introduction of "kiosk" service for its shared-ride SuperShuttle ground transportation. Passengers using SuperShuttle transportation will be able to book, confirm and pay for their reservations at the SuperShuttle Kiosk located in the ground transportation area, next to the SuperShuttle service counters. BWI is the first kiosk service available in the U.S. Other airports in the SuperShuttle system including Dulles and Reagan in the Washington, D.C. area, Denver International, Denver; George Bush International, Houston; Austin-Bergstrom International, Austin, Texas; Kansas City International Airport, Kansas City, Mo.; Minneapolis-St. Paul International and Sacramento International in California will all be coming on line over the next 10-12 months. The kiosk system for SuperShuttle was designed by Tempe, AZ based Phoenix Kiosk, Inc. and will allow SuperShuttle customers to also make a reservation through the SuperShuttle website and then once they are at the airport customers can use the kiosk to recall an existing reservation, to check-in or pay. They can also book a new reservation and pay for the transaction with a credit card. The system then prints a ticket and a receipt for the customer. "We're very excited about the new kiosks," said Mike Hogan, CIO of SuperShuttle, who headed the project. "Self-service Kiosks are becoming the norm at airports and we think our customers will benefit from using our service when lines at the customer service desk are long. The airlines have been providing this service for quite some time and now we think the time is right for kiosk service to be available for our customers as well."
