    Trading Update
for the year ended 31 July 2008

In the interim statement for Charteris, issued on 16 April 2008, we reported that first half trading had been encouraging, with good
growth in the on-line retail market and continued progress in the public sector. It is pleasing to report that these trends have helped to
sustain the performance in the second half.
Our strategy of targeting key growth areas in multiple vertical markets is delivering improved performance and resilience to our
business. Our public sector business has continued to strengthen, building a reliable and consistent business in homeland security and local
government. In the retail sector, Charteris has made excellent progress, supporting the on-line growth of several of the market leaders.
This success, together with continued good performance in the legal expert witness area, has more than offset the inevitably subdued
activity in the financial services market. In view of this, the Directors expect the results for the year ending 31 July 2008 to slightly
exceed market expectations.
A particular success in the public sector has been our work for Wiltshire County Council, helping them achieve their 'independent
living' agenda using our Customer Centric change management framework. Charteris also provided services to GAME, the specialist European
retailer of video games and consoles, which helped them with their delivery of over 140% growth in online revenues in their last trading
year.
A recent contract win with a leading professional services company will see us design the basis of a solution to help transform the
company's operations, using an integrated front and back-office Microsoft platform. Business transformation based on a fully integrated
Microsoft Dynamics and Classic technology is an increasingly important Charteris differentiator.
We recently secured an important new engagement with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to implement a new Microsoft desktop and server
computer infrastructure. Our experience in rationalising computer infrastructure to achieve improved efficiency, greater mobility in the
working patterns of staff, and energy savings was a key factor in the selection of Charteris.
Charteris plans to announce its preliminary results for the year ended 31 July 2008 at the beginning of November 2008.

    Change to Board Composition

Alan Woodward has decided to step down from the Board of Charteris for personal reasons with effect from 31 July 2008. He will continue
to make a valuable contribution within the management group at the Company in his continuing role as Head of Commercial and Technology.
