                                 Offer Update                                  

Further to the announcement by the Company on 4 June 2008 in relation to the
recommended Offer by Ascendium Group Limited, the Company and Ascendium Group
Limited today announce an extension to the Closing Date under the Offer to 1.00
p.m. (London time) on 17 July 2008.

All other dates in relation to the Extraordinary General Meeting and the
proposed date of Cancellation remain the same.

The expected timetable of events following this announcement is set out below:

Extraordinary General Meeting        10.00 a.m. (Beijing time) on 27 June,   
                                     2008                                    
                                                                             
Proposed Date of Cancellation        7.00 a.m. (London time) on 7 July, 2008 
                                                                             
Closing Date under the Offer         1.00 p.m. (London time) on 17 July, 2008
