NET ASSET VALUE

MERRILL LYNCH NEW ENERGY TECHNOLOGY plc

The unaudited net asset value for Merrill Lynch New Energy Technology plc at
close of business on 27 April 2007 was:

62.17p

1. Under the investment management agreement dated 14 December 2006, a
performance fee is payable based on outperformance of the Company's benchmark
index if the Company's NAV reaches a highwatermark of 55.58p. In accordance with
the AIC Statement of Recommended Practice, the above NAV includes any relevant
performance fee provisions to the extent the highwatermark has been attained.
The NAV prior to the calculation of any performance fee accruals, for the
purposes of calculating the highwatermark, amounted to 63.19p.

2.  Investments have been valued on a bid price basis.

statistics, asset allocation and ten largest holdings of the BlackRock managed

3. Merrill Lynch New Energy Technology plc issued 500,000 ordinary shares on 18
April 2007 to a market participant at 62.25 pence per share representing 0.2% of
the ordinary shares in issue.  The number of shares issued under the current
authority totals 15,850,000.
