No need for an apology. I'm no expert by any means. I appreciate your input, after all we're here to learn also. That's good news also. Now I don't have to waste my time making a futile attempt to block shorting.

You have to have margin balance or margin account in order to borrow from another investor's account. If there isn't enough to borrow in order to short that stock then you are screwed from being able to short that stock.

I have used that method for years but perhaps in a futile attempt. So..........what is your recommendation?

Forgive me for speaking against your idea of how to lock your shares against shorting, but that idea doesn't work. In order to short a stock -- and you can talk to ANY broker and they will tell you the same thing -- you have to borrow from the stock you are trying to short, and if there aren't any shares to to borrow in order to short, then you can't short that stock, plain and simple. I was trying to short another stock that I'm invested in and a Schwab broker told me that it's impossible to do because there weren't enough shares left to borrow in order to short. Locking your shares the way you are telling investors to do isn't the way you do it. Sorry.

I always go with #1 & #3

So far today, volume is running at 1/2 of the last 2 days avg volume (1.2 B & 1B).
but the trading day is still young!

Still up 80% in the last week. 200%+ in the last month. Looking solid here.

Never known any brokerage that allows "margin" on pinks. In either event I have never used Margin on pennies. I used Margin on F and Mountain Green.
Also heard that you can put an order for a very high selling price and that would take your shares out of the short selling category.
I try that one.

There is going to be a lot of losses by those that chased and likely didn't know
anything that was taking place other than they 'were missing out'.

Got to flush those in that sector out and the longer it sits here, the more it will.
Then there are still some likely who got in earlier who are deciding to take gains

So give it a few days to flush out those that aren't in for the long haul..
