ESRT just does not pay the dividends that GLPI does. Buy 100 shares of GLPI and make 70+ dollars. Buy 100 shares of ESRT and make $3.

Just don't understand why GLPI shares seem to get lower. When they are paying 70+ cents a share as a Dividend. Buy 100 shares and make 70+ $$$ and then sell if you want. I just keep buying more shares with the dividends. Can't buy property for what are parents paid for it many years ago. No more property being made.

Today I threw some $$ into DDD, and YGE.

I see big buying volume on both over the last 6 months, and both appear ready to start heading up to me. Interesting DDD had 30% short interest on 4/30! Doesn't leave much of a float after institutions. I'm hoping they covered lol.

liggity, understood. Just wanted to emphasize this. I will look at Maxwell Technologies Inc. (MXWL) and let you know what I find.

liggity, we now have a chart pattern! How exciting is that? It's a bullish chart pattern also! The pattern is a channel up! The PPS is at the top of the channel trend line. For this, we could expect the PPS to drop down to the $15.25 range which is where the bottom of the channel trend line currently lies. Though this support PPS range is subject to change as the chart continues.

Volume cut in half today...

Tomorrow should be interesting. Like you said no current trend to go by.

liggity, great due diligence! I'm still going along with the statements I made in the recent post. To reiterate my points, I'm still unsure of the direction Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (ESRT)'s PPS could go. There is no current trend in the chart of (ESRT) which also leads me to be weary. If anything, I would most likely expect a slight pullback after the rally. I will keep a watchful eye on (ESRT).

As of 3/31/2014:

Institutional Stock &
Mutual Fund Ownership: 94.2%

Total OS = 94,495,247
x
94.2%
= 89,014,523 shares owned by institutions.

So, after we subtract shares owned by institutions, we are left with a float of : Approx 5.48 Million shares.

Now, 5 million shares to go around, and the market makers want their piece of the pie I imagine. Also perhaps more institutional buying has occurred after 3/31 d/t earnings, breakout etc.

Average 10 day volume has been about 1 million shares - and mostly all buying over the past week.

Could be, very low volume so far today. Hope to see buying come in later today,over the past week the big volume seems to come after 3pm. Right now it appears to be bouncing off of the open price.

It's interesting looking at a daily chart, on 12/20/13, there was >10M shares bought by a specialist of some kind. It really stands out on the chart.

When it finally broke resistance on 5/7, it did so on strong volume. The strong volume has continued and there is pretty strong momentum here. Although yesterday was red, there was big buying volume at the end of the day, and after hours. I'm not a big fundamentals guy, but recent earnings report looks strong as well. They seem to be getting lease deals done with some big money etc...

liggity, thank you for sharing! I haven't looked at Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (ESRT) in some time. It seems the reason for the breakout was with the ascending triangle being broken. It seems momentum is slowing down. There's no current pattern and the PPS is high above support. There was a bearish candlestick pattern signaled on May 15, 2014, but it has not yet been confirmed. It will be interesting to see where (ESRT)'s PPS goes from here. I believe there will be short-term downside.

JGulley, I agree with you. I'm just keeping an eye on it since my dad is one of those initial investors IN THE ESB who now received shares when it went public- so hoping for an upward trend for his sake. My moolah is all in 3D printing such as DDD.

Wealthydaddy, I'm personally waiting for the lockout period to end. Though it looks to me that the chart is showing a start of a "wedge up". I think there are better REITs out there at this current moment. Tell me what you like about it.
