Repointed PAS-8 Beam Opens Market to DTH, Broadcast, Broadband, VSAT and SNG Customers SYDNEY, Australia, April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PanAmSat (NYSE:PA) today announced that it had repointed a beam on the PAS-8 Pacific Ocean Region satellite to effectively reach every corner of New Zealand, New Caledonia and Fiji. The Company recently received authorization from the FCC to redirect the Ku-band South East Asia beam of the PAS-8 Satellite to cover the southwest Pacific, thus opening up these markets for additional PanAmSat services.
