Guinea is host to a few other significant projects, two of those being Kalia and Zogota, which have a combined production capacity of over 20Mt. Both are expected to be operational by 2023. Perhaps the starkest sign of Guinea’s iron ore potential is China’s interest in it – a China-backed consortium won a $14bn deal to develop part of the Simandou project late last year.

I’m looking at this junior IRON/ ORE miner BKI (Black Iron) and I wanted to know if you guys have checked it out before?

Canadian company that’s owns a 1.3B USD mine in Ukraine and they just closed a large private placement with RAB capital in the UK. Apparently off-take announcements are supposed to come through soon with construction commencing later this year. Stock is currently at 8c would love your opinion..

Rio Tinto (NYSE:RIO) wins approval from Australia’s foreign investment regulator to sell most of its coal mines to a group led by Yanzhou Coal (NYSE:YZC) for $2.45B.

The deal would leave Rio with just two producing coal mines in Australia and elevate the Chinese-led group to the country’s largest pure-play coal producer.

Yancoal Australia, 78% owned by YZC, has not yet secured financing for the deal, with investors awaiting details of a capital raising and share offer.
