Peter Leger, President and Chief Executive Officer for Teras Resources Inc.
("Teras") (TSX VENTURE:TRA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Dennis
LaPoint to the company's Board of Directors.


Dr. LaPoint joins Teras Resources with over 30 years experience in Exploration.
Dr. LaPoint possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in all facets of
exploration including the initiation and management of programs for a variety of
companies including Texasgulf, Cominco and Cambior Inc. (IAMgold) to name a few.


Dr. LaPoint is President and Owner of Appalachian Resources, LLC where he
provides project management and geologic services to the mineral industry and
investors. He is a Qualified Person for preparing National Instrument 43-101
reports. He has successfully trained and managed large technical teams. Dr.
LaPoint is proficient in developing timelines, budgets, design plans, and safety
regulations. He has also been General Manager of a chemical plant.


Graduating from the University of Iowa in 1968 with a Degree in Geology; Dr.
LaPoint continued his education earning a Masters of Science Degree from the
University of Montana in 1971 and a PhD in Geology in 1979 from the University
of Colorado.


Dr. LaPoint is a member of a number of Professional Organizations and is a
registered Geologist in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. He has
written over 30 publications during his career. He was appointed by the Governor
of North Carolina to the Licensing Board for Geologists. He is Past President of
the Carolina Geological Society and has been active in the Society of
Exploration Geologists and Society of Mining Engineers. He is an Adjunct
Professor at the University of North Carolina and previously at Elon University.


Among Dr. LaPoint's accomplishments, he discovered a significant new gold
deposit when he initiated a grassroots gold exploration program in Suriname,
South America for Alcoa Corporation. In 2004 Alcoa completed a joint venture
with Newmont Mining Corp who is conducting a prefeasibility study on the
project.

Subject to regulatory approval, the Company will grant to Dr. Dennis LaPoint,
under the terms of its stock option plan, options to purchase up to 300,000
common shares at a price of $.19 per share. The options will vest over a two
year period and have an expiry date of April 8th, 2013.


About Teras

Teras is continuing with the development of its current properties. The Company
is awaiting final proposals for project development work which Teras would like
to commence by spring of 2008. Teras intends to raise funds to proceed with the
work plan it has developed on its Montana and Nevada projects. The work is
intended to include mapping, geophysics and sampling.


Teras' vision is to acquire and advance properties with established technical
merit. The company's exploration work will be focused on detailed diamond
drilling programs and proving resources with an NI 43-101 compliant resource
report.


Teras will continue to update shareholders on the progress of future corporate
news, financings, and project developments.
