Ecuity adds award-winning software experts to technology team BELLEVUE, WA, June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ecuity, Inc., (OTC.BB: YTHK), an end-to-end unified communications and technologies company serving the small to medium business and residential markets, announced today the addition of two new members to its technology team-Carlos Justiniano and Zhiling Qiu. Justiniano and Qui will be reunited with Cedric Griss, who has been a full time consultant to Ecuity doing contract software engineering and development. Griss, Justiniano and Qiu were the primary software development team who designed and developed Ecuity's ICS secure Collaborative Communication Platform. The ICS Collaborative Communication Platform is a core technology of Ecuity that facilitates secure, private, confidential instant messaging, email and document/data distribution for businesses. It was designed and developed by Salt Lake City-based Karunga Technologies Corp. when all three were at Karunga. In February, Ecuity entered into an agreement to purchase the underlying technology for the ICS platform from Karunga Technologies. Griss, Justiniano and Qiu will form the core software development team at Ecuity. Their initial efforts will be to extend the features and functionality of the ICS platform and complete development of a new secure data backup/archive and retrieval software program built around ICS. They will work closely with current Vice President of Technology for Ecuity Advanced Communications, Jon Schnelz, to unify the ICS technology with the VoIP solutions. Mr. Schnelz is the main architect of Ecuity's Voice over IP (VoIP) switch configuration and deployment strategies. Technology Team One of the founders of Karunga Technologies, Mr. Griss has worked for more than thirty years in software development. He was the developer and architect of Ecuity's secure, collaborative communications technology. Prior to founding Karunga Technologies in 1999, Mr. Griss developed and managed software and network solutions for IBM, Parvus Corp., Mercante International and Humanicom. He implemented the communication technology on one of the first Internet-based multi-player games, which was sold to a public company. His software company was sold to Engineering Animation, Inc, who constructed 2D and 3D interactive design platforms for enterprise-wide large area networks. Mr. Qiu is also a founder of Karunga Technologies. With more than 15 years of technology development and with specialization in server systems for the past ten years. Mr. Qiu was the primary software architect and developer of the back-end server technologies for the Ecuity ICS platform. During his career, Mr. Qiu has led the effort to build the critical back-end server communication software which are key components of software programs used by a number of Fortune 500 companies, including Ericcson, Ford Motor Corp., Lockheed and Volkswagen. More recently he has developed sophisticated business process programs for two hospital systems in Canada and one for the court system in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mr. Qiu is the recipient of a number of international technology and science awards. Mr. Justiniano joined Karunga Technologies shortly after its formation. He is the primary architect and developer of the ICS user interface client software as well as many other key components of the ICS platform. For the past twenty years Mr. Justiniano has developed software for many major companies, including Disney Interactive, IBM and Symantec. In addition to developing more than a dozen commercial products, he has co-written a book and contributes to technical journals. Mr. Justiniano specializes in cross-platform server development, distributed computing, secure communication, and Embedded Linux and light weight software code.
