    ("HCEG", "the Company" or "the Group")

    Update on further capital raising and publication of 2008 Accounts and suspension of trading in the Company's ordinary shares
    Healthcare Enterprise Group plc (AIM: HCEG) announced on 18th September 2008 that it had sufficient working capital until the end of
2008 but that it would need to raise further capital to meet its medium and longer term requirements. Discussions continue with a small
group of investors to raise additional capital for the Group but these discussions have not yet reached a conclusion on the amount of money
being raised. Whilst the directors remain confident that further funds will be raised, there can be no guarantee that additional funds will
be secured.
    The Group is due to publish its Annual Report and Preliminary results for the 16 months ended 30 June 2008, before 31 December 2008
under the AIM rules. The further capital raising mentioned above has a fundamental bearing on the preparation of the 2008 Annual Report and
certain accounting assumptions contained therein. 
    The Group will therefore not be in a position to release its Annual Report by the due date required by AIM rules and accordingly the
Company has requested the suspension of trading in the Company's ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange with effect from today,
pending publication of the 2008 Annual Report.  
    A further announcement will be made at the earliest opportunity.
