                    Clarification Concerning Interim Dividend

The Board of Resources Investment Trust plc declared an interim dividend of 2.7p
on 29 October 2007. It now wishes to advise that this dividend will be comprised
of two elements, namely, an interim dividend of 2.047p per Ordinary share in
respect of the year ended 30 September 2007 and an interim dividend of 0.653p
per Ordinary share in respect of the year ending 30 September 2008.

There is no change to the ex-dividend, payment and record dates as a result of
this announcement and, as set out in the announcement of 29 October 2007, the
shares were marked ex-dividend on 7 November 2007 and the dividend will be paid
on 30 November 2007 to shareholders on the register on 9 November 2007.
