FSA Approves Acquisition of Arbuthnot Securities

Westhouse Holdings PLC ("Westhouse" or the "Group") (LSE: WHL), the corporate and institutional stockbroking group, is pleased to announce that, following the announcement of the exchange of contracts to acquire Arbuthnot Securities Limited ("Arbuthnot Securities"), the investment banking subsidiary of Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC (LSE: ARBB) on 18 November 2011, the Financial Services Authority ("FSA") has today provided regulatory approval for the transaction to proceed.

Completion of the transaction is due to take place on 20 January 2012.
