American Stock Exchange Lists ELKS Linked to Genentech, Inc. NEW YORK, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange(R) (Amex(R)) today began trading Citigroup Global Markets 7.5 % Equity Linked Securities (ELKS) linked to Genentech, Inc. Trading under the ticker symbol EKG, 1.8 million shares of the new one-year securities were issued at $10 each with a maturity date of August 30, 2005. The security will bear an annual coupon of 7.5 % based on the initial offering price of $10. The coupon will be payable February 28, 2005 and again on August 30, 2005. The ELKS are not subject to redemption by any holder prior to maturity. The value of the ELKS at maturity will be based on the performance of the underlying security.
