Yes indeed.I would suspect not quite 220 (tommorow) but say, 210 for a close. Again, whether it's sustainable is and will be unknown especially in these trying times.

I agree that it was good news.However,the contrarian side of me thinks that all the other tariffs that will effect consumers may/might cause the consumers to stay away from the higher tickets items.
Apple has historically "outperformed "markets. I was fortunate to have participated in the last split. I have always held for the most part and recently bought the last dip around 180. Apple has a nice dividend as well comparatively speaking.  
If this holds to be true I would suspect the stock may jump initially in a big way. Does it hold? Anyone's guess.

🔸 $AAPL - My last post was on Monday when it hit the 200 week MA for the 1st time since January 2019. This time it undercut the 200 WMA by 5% and then rallied for the rest of the week. The drawdown of the December-April crash was 35% which is identical to the Feb-Mar 2020 crash.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) was last seen down 8.9% at $203.94, leading Big Tech losses after President Donald Trump announced sweeping tariffs. Rosenblatt Securities warned AAPL could see $39.5 billion in tariff costs, and would need to hike device prices 40% to offset them.

Additionally, BofA Global Research cuts the stock's price target to $250 from $265. During his speech, Trump applauded Apple for its plan to spend $500 billion in the U.S. in the next four years, with Jefferies noting this could help the tech company secure a tariff exemption.

AAPL is trading at its lowest level since August and looking to snap a four-day win streak, as it heads for its largest single-day percentage drop since March 2020. Since the start of the year, the equity is down 18%.

So far in today's options pits, 428,000 calls and 453,000 puts have traded hands -- double the overall options volume typically seen at this point. Expiring tomorrow, the weekly 4/4 200-strike put is the most popular contract, followed by the 210-strike call in that same series.

Puts were more popular than usual leading up to today as well. AAPL's 10-day put/call volume ratio at the International Securities Exchange (ISE), Cboe Options Exchange (CBOE), and NASDAQ OMX PHLX (PHLX) sits higher than 90% of annual readings.

Lithium battery fires on U.S. flights now occur nearly twice a week, according to new FAA data

As millions prepare to fly for the holidays, the Federal Aviation Administration is warning travelers about a hidden danger in their luggage: lithium-ion batteries. Found in everyday devices like laptops, tablets and even electric toothbrushes, these batteries can catch fire if they overheat or are damaged.
FAA data shows that lithium battery fires on U.S. flights have risen 388% since 2015, now occurring nearly twice a week.

"Any fire at 30,000 feet is unacceptable," said David Wroth of UL Standards & Engagement, a safety research organization.

A survey of more than 800 flight attendants conducted by UL found that 87% are concerned about lithium battery risks on airplanes, and more than a third believe airlines should do more to ensure passenger safety. While the FAA requires airlines to include general safety information in preflight announcements, those warnings often don't address the specific risk of battery fires.

How does EMF cause lithium batteries to experience thermal runaway and thus spontaneously combust? One of two main ways:

#1 - Overcharge/Discharge

With various impressed external magnetic field intensities an effect was noticed on the charge and discharge curves as well as the charge and mass concentrations within the batteries. With the two-dimensional model starting from 0mT and going to 1mT had the effect of discharging the battery faster and charging the battery faster. With the two-dimensional model starting from 1mT and going to -1mT had the effect of charging the battery faster. In either case an effect on the various characteristics of the battery were studied. With the experiments conducted on the two types of batteries the effect was more profound than subtle. Discharge times were twice as fast and charge times were equally
affected. With the smaller batteries they all generally charged faster under the presence of a magnetic field due to more uniform penetration. In the presence of the field they also discharged faster. The larger batteries would not see the same uniform penetration because only a small area of the battery sees the center of the coil it is placed on

In this dissertation, they found that external magnetic fields significantly increased charge and discharge rates in individual lithium battery cells; like shown in the following image. They also found that smaller batteries were impacted to a greater degree than larger ones. This is likely a reason Tesla is switching to larger battery cells in addition to employing magnetic attenuating honeycomb sandwich battery pack.
