NGO Nuveen Connecticut Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 3 IT IS A Newly Organized, Non-Diversified, Closed-End Management Investmen

Nuveen Investments, a leading global provider of investment services to institutions and high-net-worth investors, today announced that the Nuveen North Carolina Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 3 (AMEX: NII), Nuveen Connecticut Dividend Advantage Municipal Fund 3 (AMEX: NGO) and the Nuveen Insured Massachusetts Tax-Free Advantage Municipal Fund (AMEX: NGX) called for a full redemption at par of their outstanding auction-rate preferred securities. The Nuveen Maryland Premium Income Municipal Fund (NYSE: NMY) called for redemption at par a portion of its outstanding auction-rate preferred securities. These redemptions will be funded by proceeds received from the issuance of MuniFund Term Preferred Shares (MTP).

NII is redeeming all of its $28.0 million of currently outstanding ARPS.
