ORB ESTATES PLC ("ORB") - OFFER FOR THE WHOLE OF THE ISSUED
SHARE CAPITAL OF ALBERMARLE PROPERTY INVESTMENTS PLC
("ALBERMARLE")


The directors of Orb request that the whole of the issued share
capital of Albermarle be cancelled from listing on 5 November
1999.

The offer for the whole of the issued share capital of
Albermarle became unconditional in all respects on 10 August
1999.  Furthermore the offer document of 12 July 1999 stated
that it was the intention of Orb to have the Albermarle shares
delisted subject to a satisfactory level of acceptances.  

The level of acceptances at close of business on 11 October 1999
was 75.32 percent.  This level is regarded by the directors as
satisfactory. 

Accordingly the directors would like delisting of these shares
to occur as soon as possible
