          Accsys announces the appointment of new CEO


Accsys Technologies PLC ("Accsys" or "the Company") announces the appointment of
Finlay Morrison as Chief Executive Officer, with effect from 10th October. Mr
Morrison, aged 47, has joined the Board as an Executive Director.



Finlay Iain Morrison has held senior positions at both Celanese and Hoechst
Chemical companies over the last twenty years. With a focus on Sales, Marketing
and Procurement on a global basis, he has considerable experience throughout
Asia and China. His most recent position prior to joining Accsys was as Vice
President, Acetyls, at Celanese Corporation.



Willy Paterson-Brown, Executive Chairman and previous CEO, of Accsys commented,
"Finlay's extensive international commercial expertise will be invaluable in
driving the global licensing activity of the Company. This appointment is
another indication of the significant growth being achieved by Accsys as we
develop our business on a worldwide basis".



Finlay Morrison added, "It is a wonderful opportunity for me to take this
position with Accsys. I believe whole-heartedly in the enormous potential the
Company has and look forward to being an integral part of that growth".



Mr Morrison will immediately become Chief Executive of Titan Wood Ltd., the
Company's 100% owned subsidiary, and will, in due course, join the boards of
certain Accsys subsidiaries.



Mr Morrison has been granted 1,000,000 options at an exercise price of Euro3.80 per
share.



In accordance with the AIM Rules for Companies, the Company confirms that there
is no further disclosure obligation required, pursuant to Rule 17, Schedule Two,
Paragraph (g).
