AGM Statement 
 
 
BNS Telecom Group plc ("BNS" or the "Group"), a leading telecoms service 
provider and IP carrier will be holding its AGM this morning. 
 
 
Barry Moat, Chairman, will report: 
 
 
"We have seen strong trading by the Group during the first six months of the 
current financial year.  The Board considers that the Group is well positioned 
with a number of important strengths which are making it resilient during a 
period of economic downturn.  As well as high levels of recurring revenues from 
a broad and diverse business customer base, the business critical nature of the 
Group's products and services means that it is less vulnerable to cuts in 
business' discretionary expenditure. 
 
 
"Our strategic shift to IP telephony has continued to translate into strong cash 
generation and an associated jump in deferred income. 
 
 
"In the current economic climate, we are finding our IP-based range of products 
has excellent traction as more enterprises look to reduce and more tightly 
manage their operational costs.In January 2009 we connected our one thousandth 
IP-based customer site. 
 
 
"Another important development for the business will be the planned launch in 
March of our new Mobile Office product (www.inwhenout.com). This revolutionary 
new service provides true office and mobile phone convergence allowing users to 
take their office extension and its functionality with them wherever they go. 
This is made possible by combining the power of our own cutting edge IP network 
and products with the power of Vodafone's GSM network.  We expect this exciting 
new addition to our product portfolio to also drive sales of mobile connections 
over the remainder of the current financial year and beyond as we continue to 
focus on cross selling our mobile services into our existing fixed line customer 
base. 
 
 
"Trading to date continues to be in line with our expectations. We 
remain confident in the Group's development over the rest of this year."
