CLOSE ASSETS FUNDS LIMITED (THE "COMPANY") 
DIRECTORATE CHANGE 
 
The Company announces the retirement of Mr Jonathan Maximillian Gumpel as a 
director of the Company effective 27 April 2010.  Mr Richard de la Rue, 
Chairman, expresses on behalf of the Company his grateful thanks to Mr Gumpel 
for his contributions to the Company since its launch in November 2001.  Mr de 
la Rue also wishes to extend his condolences to the family and friends of Mr 
John Grahame Hunter, who sadly died on 20 February 2010, as announced on 7 April 
2010. 
 
The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Messrs John Reginald Le 
Prevost and Nicholas John Falla as non-executive directors with effect from 26 
April 2010.  Speaking for the Company, Mr de la Rue advised "They were selected 
as directors as they bring to the Company their not inconsiderable understanding 
of these types of investment companies, having between them sat on the boards of 
directors of many similar such investment companies managed by Close Investments 
Limited in the past.  As the Company moves towards its final redemption date in 
2012 for the last remaining class of shares in issue, it is considered 
appropriate that the board  has strong technical experience of the issues which 
can arise in such situations." 
 
Details of their experience are set out below: 
 
Mr Le Prevost, aged 58, is the Chief Executive Officer of Anson Group Limited 
and Chairman of its two operating subsidiaries Anson Fund Managers Limited (the 
Company's Administrator and Secretary) and Anson Registrars Limited (the 
Company's Registrar).  He has spent 30 years working in offshore trusts and 
investment business during which time he was Managing Director of County NatWest 
Investment Management (Channel Islands) Limited, Royal Bank of Canada's mutual 
fund company in Guernsey and Republic National Bank of New York's international 
trust company.  He is a director of a number of listed investment companies 
including the Close investment companies named below, as well as being a 
non-executive director of Louvre Fiduciary Group Limited, and is a trustee of 
the Guernsey Sailing Trust.  He is resident in Guernsey.

1 - The FSA cancelled the admission to listing on the Official List of the UKLA 
of all participating shares of Close Enhanced Commodities Fund Limited on 24 
March 2010 following the redemption of all participating shares in issue. 
2 - The Market Authority of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange LBG cancelled the 
admission to listing on the Official List of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange 
LBG of all participating redeemable preference shares of The Close Man Hedge 
Fund Limited on 8 June 2009 following the redemption of all such shares in 
issue. 
3 - The FSA cancelled the admission to listing on the Official List of the UKLA 
of all participating shares of Japanese Accelerated Performance Fund Limited on 
20 January 2010 following the redemption of all participating shares in issue. 
4 - The Market Authority of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange cancelled the 
admission to listing on the Official List of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange 
LBG of all participating redeemable preference shares of The Close Man 
Guaranteed Hedge Fund II Limited on12 March 2007 following the redemption of all 
participating redeemable preference shares in issue.  The Close Man Guaranteed 
Hedge Fund II Limited was voluntarily dissolved on 8 October 2008. 
5 - The admission to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of the London 
Stock Exchange of the Ordinary Shares of European Equity Tranche Income Limited 
was cancelled on 8 July 2009. 
 
Mr Le Prevost has confirmed that there is no other information to be disclosed 
under UKLA Listing Rule LR 9.6.13R. 
 
Mr Falla, aged 52, is the Managing Director of Xocoatl Limited, a private 
investment company taking strategic proprietary positions in commodities 
markets, as well as operating a personal portfolio of commodity positions. He is 
a non-executive director of MW Tops Limited, an investment company listed on 
LSE, and Altus Resource Capital Limited, which is listed on the Specialist Fund 
Market of LSE and CISX.  Mr Falla is also the Finance Director of Pharma E 
Limited, a privately owned pharmacy.  He has acted as the interim financial 
controller of the Guernsey Banking operations of Credit Suisse Guernsey Limited, 
of KPMG, Channel Islands and as regional controller for Europe of Bank of 
Bermuda Limited.  He is a chartered accountant, and holds an MBA specialising in 
financial management. He is resident in Guernsey.
