The board of Pex plc, the socks and tights manufacturing group, announces today
that following its purchase of the business of Hollas Hosiery Limited ("Hollas")
on 31 July 1998, it has now acquired the trade marks of Hollas from the
administrative receiver.  The amount of consideration will ultimately depend on
the volume of sales over the next two years of products bearing the trade marks
"Niche" and "Collection Niche" but is subject to a maximum of #100,000.

Hollas produces adult socks for "own label" brands predominantly for clients in
the UK but also for export to the USA.
