Dr. Baldwin, who has also starred on the ABC hit show, "The
Bachelor: An Officer and a Gentleman," is a firm believer in
educating Americans about the warning signs of diabetes and the
importance of healthy weight maintenance in the battle against
diabetes. He is, along with in-house nutrition and behavioral
scientists, working with Nutrisystem to raise awareness about the
need for healthier family lifestyles focusing on everything from
food choices to exercise routines.
"Diabetes continues to be one of the top health threats to our
population and many of our customers," said Dawn Zier, President and CEO of Nutrisystem.
"With products like Nutrisystem D, we're able to successfully help
those individuals suffering from or at risk of diabetes by
providing them with the tools necessary to lose weight and manage
their disease. I could not be more proud of the accomplishments and
commitments our team, including Dr. Baldwin, has made, both at work
and at home, to positively impact such an important cause."
"I have seen firsthand the power of believing that anything is
possible through my patients and in my own life. I have trained
hard and endured punishing competitions, and I've helped patients
lose vast amounts of weight, which can be even harder," said
Baldwin, an eight-time Ironman finisher. "We need and want those
who are struggling with their weight, at risk of serious health
issues like diabetes, or who feel like they are fighting a losing
battle, to believe they can fight back and win, and I want to help
them achieve their goals. Working with Nutrisystem has shown me
there are convenient options available for people to drop the
pounds and balance blood glucose. I am thrilled to be a part of
their team and join Dawn Zier, who
not only talks the talk, but actually gets out and walks the walk,
to help spread awareness."
While serving as a doctor, Dr. Baldwin also remains active in
his athletic and charitable pursuits, including domestic and global
humanitarian projects. He is the founder of the Got Your Back
Network, a nonprofit organization that raises money to support
families of fallen soldiers.
