PINVX Putnam Investors Fund Class A Shares (MM)

Putnam Investments and the Board of Trustees of the Putnam Funds today announced that the annual meeting of shareholders of Putnam Managed Municipal Income Trust will be held on September 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., Boston time, at the principal offices of the fund on the 8th floor of One Post Office Square, Boston, Massachusetts. The meeting is expected to consider a proposal to fix the number of Trustees at 14 and elect nominees for the fund’s Trustees. Shareholders of record at the close of business on June 14, 2010 are entitled to be present and to vote at the meeting or any adjournment thereof.

Shareholder proposals to be included in the proxy statement for the annual meeting must be received by the fund on or before July 1, 2010. Shareholders who wish to make a proposal at the meeting—other than one that will be included in the fund’s proxy materials—should notify the fund no later than July 1, 2010. Shareholders who wish to propose one or more nominees for election as Trustees, or to make a proposal fixing the number of Trustees, at the meeting must provide written notice to the fund (including all information required by the fund’s Bylaws) so that such notice is received in good order by the fund no later than June 24, 2010. Notices of any such proposals should be addressed to the Clerk of the fund at One Post Office Square, Boston, Massachusetts 02109.
