WB11/WPIX Wins Most Number of Awards Including Best Entertainment, Business and Political Programming NEW YORK, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- WB11/WPIX, Tribune Broadcasting's New York WB affiliate, was awarded 12 Emmy Awards, the most awarded to any one station at the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' 49th Annual Award presentation last night in Manhattan. Nominated for 29 awards, more than any other news organization this year, WB11/WPIX celebrated a total of 12 wins, the largest number awarded to any one station, ahead of News 12 Long Island and WABC-TV who each received 9 awards. Capturing best entertainment, business and political programming, WB11/WPIX also won best coverage of anticipated news story as well as best coverage of a continuing news story.
