Ingram, Chairman, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Watson to the Board of Directors. Mr. Watson has had a very successful career in the petroleum industry for over 35 years and has recently retired from his position as Chief Operating Officer of Husky Energy's South East Asia Business Unit.  Much of that career was with Marathon Oil Company in a variety of locations including Calgary, Houston, Russia, Alaska and the North Sea.  He has expertise in the areas of engineering, project management and in situ oil sands development.  The Board of Directors is very pleased to have Mr. Watson join SilverBirch and is confident that his expertise will benefit the organization. In connection with his appointment, Mr. Watson has been granted 45,000 options by SilverBirch. The options have an exercise price of $7.07 and expire on December 29, 2017. The options granted vest as to one third on the first anniversary of the date of grant, one third on the second anniversary of the date of grant and the balance on the third anniversary of the date of grant. The appointment of directors of SilverBirch and all stock option grants are subject to receipt of the necessary regulatory approvals, including the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
