OSS-IM View, a wholly owned subsidiary of Creative Vistas, Inc. (OTCBB:CVAS) which has developed a next-generation business intelligence tool that manages data from over a million multi-faceted transactions for large field-services customers, today announced the completion of the research and development of advanced real-time software for handheld sales tracking and training devices, through a contribution from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). Recognizing an unfulfilled market need, Creative Vistas’ OSS-IM View applied the funds towards a pilot program involving the development of mobile, GPS-enabled software for PDAs which can be used at retail or in the field as a handheld training aid and information gathering tool/mechanism across multiple industries, changing the relationship between management and their remote sales/technical force.

Following a successful pilot deployment, OSS-IM View will now apply the insight and technology gained towards the broader field services business where direct mobile (GPS-enabled) tracking of employee movement can generate greater efficiencies for companies. The newly-developed software allows a company to better utilize their workforce assets (whether it be field service reps or a remote sales team). For 100-percent transparency, the mobile software features store-and-forward technology to ensure that data is captured, recorded and retransmitted regardless of reception or location. The software can also be integrated to include tracking of inventory in field trucks so that management can more adeptly respond to changing customer needs and increase the efficiency of their field staff. In addition, the software transforms the PDAs of a workforce into a remote and distributed network for the valuable collection of business intelligence data.

Dominic Burns, CEO of Creative Vistas, Inc. said, “We are pleased to announce the development of the PDA module of our OSS-IM View B.I. software. This advancement will give management visibility in real time, into all of the activities of their mobile workforce, which translates into improved efficiencies and a better overall customer experience.”

Direction for the research grew out of frequent customer requests for such a solution. Traditional field service work will now be completely automated, from GPS-verified timesheets and payroll to optimization analytics and business intelligence. As companies look for ways to increase bottom-line efficiencies, this technology helps to reduce administrative costs, and increase control and visibility for business owners who are planning to grow their business in the future.
