BOSTON, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- China PharmaHub Corp.
("PharmaHub"), the majority owner of World Wide Relics, Inc. (OTC
Bulletin Board: WRLC), announced today that it has entered into a
five-year Cooperation Agreement ("Agreement") with the Sichuan
Technical Exchange Center ("STEC"), a subsidiary of the Sichuan
Provincial Science & Technology Department. PharmaHub
will represent the Sichuan
government in seeking out biotechnology projects and the STEC will
be assisting PharmaHub and its partners in executing business
ventures in Sichuan. The Agreement
entails a strategic partnership in the bio-pharmaceutical and
medical device industries to promote technological exchange and
transfer between China and the US
through the relationship between PharmaHub and the STEC.
PharmaHub is engaged in the business of licensing, development
and commercialization of pharmaceutical and healthcare products and
technologies between Chinese pharmaceutical companies and other
pharmaceutical companies located worldwide, with initial emphasis
in the United States and
Europe. The Sichuan
Technical Exchange Center is a major professional institution under
the Sichuan Provincial Government tasked with carrying out
international technological exchange and transfer projects in
Sichuan. Sichuan Province, a
booming economic hub of 81 million people with a 2009 annual GDP of
$207 billion USD and powered by over
$1.8 billion a year in domestic and
foreign investments, has developed into a modern hi-tech industrial
base for information technology and pharmaceuticals.
"We are thrilled with this opportunity. The Agreement with the
Sichuan Technical Exchange Center represents a strategic
opportunity for PharmaHub and its shareholders to increase
awareness of PharmaHub while building relationships with existing
as well as potential future pharmaceutical partners," stated
Richard Lui, CEO of PharmaHub.
"This is another successful demonstration of our HUB model.
This partnership represents a milestone in PharmaHub's drive to
become a leader in the pharmaceutical and medical device
industry."
Mr. Cai, Director of the Sichuan Technical Exchange Center said,
"We are very pleased to be working with PharmaHub. The
Sichuan Provincial Government attaches great importance to
international technology transfer, especially in the areas of
biotechnology, healthcare and alternative energy. By establishing
this partnership, both the STEC and PharmaHub each gain a strong
partner and the strategic ability to expand our market
presence."
The Agreement has both sides agreeing to jointly establish the
technical exchange transfer service platform and the STEC will
coordinate with the Sichuan Provincial Government to ensure the
signed technology transfer projects gain government support in
policy making, strategic technological cooperation, and financing.
According to the statistics report of the Sichuan Pharmaceutical
Industry Association, Sichuan has
over 396 pharmaceutical manufacturers and over 18,629 companies
focusing on the sales and marketing of medicine and medical
equipment in 2009 and an industrial output of 49.7 billion RMB ($7.2
billion USD). In recent years, Sichuan has made significant investments in
furthering biotechnology, new drug discovery and healthcare.
Mr. Lui continued, "We will immediately begin providing
bio-pharmaceutical and medical device technology transfer projects
to businesses and the Sichuan
government. PharmaHub plans to introduce over 30 projects in
bio-pharmaceutical and medical devices as well as co-sponsor
conferences with the STEC to facilitate the execution of these
projects. The Agreement also opens up significant strategic
opportunities for PharmaHub to meet with pharmaceutical and medical
device companies and explore possible business ventures."
