Key Highlights of the 2023 Sustainability Report:

  1. Forest Stewardship: Molpus is committed to sustainable forest management practices. All of Molpus’ forests are certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI®) and, where beneficial, are dual certified to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®).
  2. Nature-Based Climate Solutions: The report underscores Molpus' role in mitigating climate change through sustainable forestry. With examples such as nearly 400,000 acres under conservation easements and 324.4 million tCO2e in forest carbon stores in the Molpus forestry portfolio, Molpus’ efforts are important in carbon sequestration and maintaining healthy forest ecosystems.
  3. Support for UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Molpus directly supports 10 of the 17 UN SDGs, focusing on areas such as clean water and sanitation, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production, and climate action. The report highlights Molpus' alignment with these goals through its various initiatives and practices.
  4. Expanding Educational Support: The Molpus Woodlands Group Annual Scholarship Program has been expanded to include partnerships with 10 universities. These scholarships aim to foster diversity within the forestry management profession and support students in related fields such as forestry, GIS, paralegal studies, and business.
  5. Innovative Forest Management Practices: The report showcases Molpus’ use of state-of-the-art technology and collaboration with industry, conservationists, and academics to advance sustainable forest management. This includes the deployment of GIS, satellite imaging, and proprietary systems for forest inventory and planning.
  6. Governance and Transparency: Molpus’ governance practices ensure ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The company’s submission of annual reports to the UN PRI and SFI, alongside third-party audits, reinforces its dedication to transparency and accountability.
