of its new Gifted Math Program, designed specifically for students
in 1st through 8th grade who demonstrate advanced math skills and
higher critical thinking abilities. This innovative initiative aims
to challenge and inspire Waldo's young mathematicians while
fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of
mathematics.
Our goal is to provide an environment where
gifted students can delve deeper into math, logic, and economic
case studies without missing out on their standard
curriculum.
The Gifted Math Program at Waldo International School will
utilize students' MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) scores along
with a cognitive assessment to identify candidates who can benefit
the most from this enrichment opportunity. Entrance to the program
is merit-based.
The program will be conducted two to three times per week to
ensure participation does not interfere with regular class content.
Instead, it will be an enriching addition to the curriculum for the
selected students.
