Robert Taffet joins the enterprise risk and compliance firm to expand in-house resources for its clients across the financial services ecosystem

Compliance Risk Concepts (CRC), an enterprise risk and compliance firm within the financial services industry, has announced the appointment of Robert Taffet in a newly created role as the Head of the Operations, Technology and Business Execution practice. A strategic hire, Taffet joins the growing firm as it looks to expand its suite of services to include operations, technology and business execution services for organizations across the financial services ecosystem. The new services will complement the firm’s existing business model and will serve as an extension of the existing risk and compliance verticals within CRC.

Taffet brings over 25 years of financial services industry experience to the role, working for and partnering with top-tier financial services organizations managing operations, technology, consulting, advisory and business execution teams. Prior to joining CRC, Taffet was a founding partner of Taffet Consulting, a financial services management consulting and technology solutions organization focused on front-to-back office business transformation of the Capital Markets industry. In addition, he was a principal at Infosys within their Financial Services consulting practice. Prior to his transition into Financial Services Consulting, Taffet held several management positions within Wells Fargo and Credit Suisse’s Capital Markets Operations divisions. He has served on multiple industry-wide committees and panels as a subject matter expert, building and integrating Operations and Technology infrastructure to be a meaningful and revolutionary component of the business process. His expertise will complement the current offerings for CRC clients, furthering CRC’s strategic vision to more effectively execute client initiatives while expanding its reach to a wider range of financial services clients.

“Rob has an exceptional professional track record in consulting, operations and business execution, having worked closely with financial services firms throughout his career,” said Mitch Avnet, founder and CEO of CRC. “Even more noteworthy is Rob’s alignment with the CRC philosophy. Our mission is to serve as a partner to advance our clients’ overall business goals. Rob enthusiastically supports this mission and has fulfilled it in his work, providing a deep understanding of the industry to help his clients make the right decisions.”

Taffet remarked: “The financial landscape is undergoing a profound transformation. New participants are entering the market, and firms are focused on technological advancements and how they can incorporate them into their business models, seeking strategies to innovate and make their business more efficient. In addition to the firm’s core verticals, this is a natural extension of the CRC client offering.”

As part of this new offering, Taffet will work with new and existing clients to build out their existing business, address industry-driven initiatives and focus on new business. He will partner with clients to assess their needs and execute their plan in a transformational manner using technology, methodology and industry-wide standards that are best suited for the client to meet their goals.

Earlier this year, CRC announced it received a strategic investment from MidOcean Partners, through its parent company, Re-Sourcing Group, aimed at spurring continued growth of its unique brand of business-focused compliance and risk management advisory services. As the financial services and compliance industries continue to evolve, CRC is positioned as a resource and partner to businesses of all sizes. The firm has committed to growing its footprint and employee headcount to meet these evolving needs.

Avnet added: “CRC is committed to helping our clients achieve great outcomes for their businesses. Expanding our team of experts and consulting services provided is one component of this commitment, and we are excited to add Rob as another valuable resource in meeting our clients’ goals.”
