Proteome Sciences PLC said Wednesday that it has been issued a U.S. patent covering the company's TMTcalibrator workflow, relating to methods of analysis.

The protein-biomarker research company said the patent issuance enables enhanced fluid biomarker discovery and single-cell proteomics and forms part of the intellectual property exclusively licensed to Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. by the company.

"[It] is a key patent covering our TMTcalibrator technology, which is at the heart of our precision medicine efforts," Chief Scientific Officer Ian Pike said.
