Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) plans to work with India's major retailer Future Retail Ltd. (540064.BY) on online sales, the companies said.

Amazon India will become the authorized online sales channel for stores operated by Future Retail, the companies said in a stock exchange filing Monday.

Future Retail will also offer products on Amazon's online grocery-delivery programs in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, according to the statement.

The collaboration brings together Future Retail's extensive geographical reach and Amazon's consumer insights, the two said.

Specific financial arrangements of the tie-up hasn't been disclosed.
