--Siemens AG will keep a stake of 45% in its energy business, which the German engineering company plans to spin off this year, Reuters reported Monday mentioning two sources close to the matter.

--The company plans to hold 35.1% of Siemens Energy shares directly, with the remainder controlled by its pension unit, according to Reuters.

--Siemens may cut part of its holding in the business within 12 to 18 months, Reuters reported.
