DuPont de Nemours Inc. Tuesday said it named Kimberly Markiewicz vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion, in charge of advancing the specialty-materials company's programs and initiatives in the area.

DuPont said Ms. Markiewicz, who joined the Wilmington, Del., company as a chemical engineer in 1995, was most recently vice president of environmental, health and safety.

As part of its diversity and inclusion efforts, DuPont said it is working to improve representation and building practices and support systems to address the needs of different people.

DuPont said Ms. Markiewicz will report to Darrell Ford, chief human resources officer.
