On May 20 2021, BioNTech SE (the “Company”) and Pfizer Inc. today announced a new agreement with the European Commission (EC) to supply 900 million doses of COMIRNATY®, the companies’ COVID-19 vaccine, to the 27 European Union (EU) member states, with an option for the EC to request up to an additional 900 million doses. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
