Issue of Equity

Gladstone plc (the "Company"), the leading supplier of software and membership
management services to the health and fitness industry is pleased to announce it
has, today, issued and allotted a total of 1,000,000 new ordinary shares of 1
pence each ("Ordinary Shares") through a placing at 11 pence per share, raising
#110,000 before expenses.

The proceeds of this placing will be used to strengthen the balance sheet for
business development.

Application has been made for the new shares to be admitted to AIM and trading
in the new shares is expected to commence on Tuesday 30 September 2003.
