                  Fishworks plc ("Fishworks" or the "Company")



                                    Placing



FishWorks, the specialist seafood restaurant group, is pleased to announce a
conditional placing of up to 38,350,000 ordinary shares (the "Placing Shares")
with various institutional investors at a price of 6p per share (the "Placing
Price") to raise up #2.301 million (before expenses) (the "Placing").  The
Placing is conditional, interalia, on resolutions being passed at a General 
Meeting of the Company to be held on 10 December 2007. The Placing Shares are 
expected to be admitted to AIM and commence trading on 11 December 2007.

As outlined in the Company's annual results for the year ended 31 July 2007,
FishWorks continues to turn around the underperforming sites and to focus on
larger and more profitable outlets. In order to accelerate the execution of this
process and to fund the opening of new sites, the Board has concluded that the
Company would benefit from further funds.

While current trading continues to be in line with expectations, the Directors
believe that the additional funds generated by the Placing will strengthen
considerably the Company's balance sheet and enable the Company to roll out its
portfolio of casual, premium dining restaurants more rapidly. The Directors
believe that this, together with the other initiatives that have been put in
place by the new management team, including a redesigned menu, extended hours of
operation, a central reservations system and the purchase of their main
supplier, will ensure that the Company achieves its goal of becoming a
profitable, multi-site, premium restaurant group.

FishWorks has entered into a placing agreement with Cenkos Securities plc
('Cenkos'), pursuant to which Cenkos has, on behalf of FishWorks,
conditionally placed the Placing Shares with various investors at the Placing
Price.
