                        Death of non executive director



The Board of Ultimate Leisure announces with deep regret the death of Alastair
Wilson, a non executive director.



Alastair was 64 years old and became a director of the company upon flotation in
July 1999.



Prior to joining Ultimate Leisure, Alastair was managing director of Newcastle
Breweries Ltd and his industry experience has been invaluable to Ultimate
Leisure over the years.



Alastair's contribution will be missed by the company and the Board offers its
sincere condolences to Alastair's family at this time.
