Boykin Lodging Announces Sale of Yakima Hotel CLEVELAND, June 17
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boykin Lodging Company (NYSE:BOY), a
hotel real estate investment trust, today announced that it has
sold the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center in Yakima,
Washington to an unrelated third party for a price of $4.2 million.
The net proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes. The
sale is a continuation of the Company's plan to dispose of non-core
assets, those which are not consistent with the Company's strategy
of focusing on major metropolitan areas and beachfront markets.
Boykin Lodging Company is a real estate investment trust that
focuses on the ownership of full-service, upscale commercial and
resort hotels. The Company currently owns interests in 21 hotels
containing a total of 6,019 rooms located in 13 states, and
operating under such internationally known brands as Doubletree,
