CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- UTC Aerospace
Systems' Aerostructures business has signed an agreement with
JetBlue Airways to provide nacelle maintenance for the airline's
fleet of 130 Airbus A320 aircraft powered by V2500-A5 engines, as
well as its 60 Embraer E190 aircraft powered by CF34-10 engines.
Under the five-year agreement, UTC Aerospace Systems will be the
exclusive provider of maintenance for the thrust reversers and
common nozzle assemblies for JetBlue's A320 fleet, as well as the
inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers and common nozzle assemblies
for the E190 aircraft. The maintenance work will be performed at
the Aerostructures' Alabama Service Center in Foley, Ala. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of
United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
