HANOI, Vietnam, Nov. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Pratt &
Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), today
announced that Vietnam Airlines signed a 12-year EngineWise
Comprehensive service agreement for Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engine
maintenance for the airline's fleet of 20 Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Vietnam Airlines' first A321neo entered into service in late
2018.
The signing took place in a ceremony in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, and was attended by U.S. Secretary of
Commerce Wilbur Ross, along with
officials from Vietnam Airlines and Pratt & Whitney.

safety, performance and reliability on our entire fleet which
includes GTF-powered aircraft," said Dang Ngoc Hoa, Executive Vice

serve our customers."

Since entering into service in early 2016, the GTF engine has

percent, to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 50 percent compared
to the regulatory standard, and to reduce the noise footprint by 75
percent.
