Macro Enterprises Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MCR) (the "Company" or "Macro") announces
the appointment of Les Jourdain to its Board of Directors effective immediately.
Mr. Jourdain will join the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee.
Management is of the view that Mr. Jourdain will provide valuable perspective
and expertise to the Board as an independent director.


Mr. Jourdain has spent over 40 years in the construction industry. After
graduating from the British Columbia Institute of Technology with an Engineering
Technologist degree in 1973, he worked in the marine construction and foundation
industries starting as an estimator and worked his way up to President and Chief
Executive Officer of Fraser River Pile & Dredge Ltd., a leading marine
construction and dredging contactor in Canada. In 1995, Mr. Jourdain along with
four partners successfully completed a MBO transaction of Fraser River Pile &
Dredge Ltd. together with its related entities (together "FRPD"). They owned and
operated FRPD until the assets were sold to a private equity firm in 2008. Mr.
Jourdain has retained a significant financial interest in FRPD and remains on
the Board. In addition he continues to serve as an advisor to FRPD in areas of
strategic objectives, marketing and long term planning. Since 2000, Mr. Jourdain
has also been a Director of Ship Owners Protection and Indemnity with its head
office in Luxembourg and subsidiary offices in London, Vancouver and Singapore.
It is one of the leading liability insurance providers for specialist vessels
operating in all the major ports in the World. 


Macro's core business is providing pipeline and facilities construction and
maintenance services to major companies in the oil and gas industry in
northeastern B.C. and northwestern Alberta. The Company's corporate office is in
