Pro-Trans Ventures Inc. ("Pro-Trans" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:PVI)
announces the appointment of Darby Kreitz as the Chairman of the board of
directors (the "Board") and Betty-Ann Heggie as the Lead Director of the
Corporation effective October 23, 2012. Mr. Kreitz is replacing Don Black as
Chairman of the Board. Mr. Black has also resigned as a director of the
Corporation, along with Melinda Park and David Criddle, effective October 23,
2012. Mr. Criddle will remain as the Interim Chief Financial Officer of the
Corporation.

and their service during their tenure as directors. Their contributions were
instrumental in the successful development of the Pro-Trans and the positioning
of the Corporation for the bright future ahead." stated Darby Kreitz.


Upon the resignation of Mr. Black, Darby Kreitz has been appointed by the Board
to assume the position of Chairman of the Board and Betty-Ann Heggie has been
appointed as Lead Director of Pro-Trans, effective immediately.

The Corporation believes that the reduced number of board members is appropriate
given the current size and stage of development of Pro-Trans, especially as its
current composition will not impact the board's independence. In addition to Mr.
Kreitz and Ms. Heggie, the other members of the board of directors are Douglas
Davis, Les Dube, Sean Durfy, Russel Marcoux and Brian Murray.
