Alkane, Inc. �Alkane� (PINK SHEETS: ALKN) announced today that it has filed for a U.S. patent on its newly developed high energy synthetic fuel, Syn-Fuel. Syn-Fuel is the operative ingredient in the company�s flagship product, diesel fuel additive Monster DieselTM, which started shipping earlier this month.

According to the Energy Information Administration�s International Energy Outlook 2008, the world �will require 50% more energy in 2030 than it did in 2005... almost all of which will be derived from synthetic and bio fuel sources.� Alkane�s proprietary Syn-Fuel will surely play an integral role in this transformation.

A quart of Syn-Fuel containing additive, Monster Diesel�, imparts to diesel fuel the energy equivalent of 25 gallons of regular diesel fuel.
