His most recent projects include Lizzie Bordens screenplay No Woman No Cry, which will be the first authorized film biography of late reggae artist and activist Bob Marley, to be produced by Rudy Langlais; Kevin Pappass autobiography Godfather of Night, a Spring 2009 Random House release; a feature version of the CBS television series The Equalizer with Mace Neufeld Productions, Tony Eldridge and Michael Sloan; a film version of Abdul-Jabbars book Brothers in Arms in development with Alcon Entertainment, with Langlais producing and Denzel Washington directing from a script by John Sayles and David Chisholm. The comedy is being produced by Permut, with the younger Freiberg and Steve Longi co-producing and starring Michael Cera, Steve Buscemi, Ray Liotta, Jean Smart and M. Emmet Walsh.
