New Site Makes it Easier to Check Schedules and Destinations; More
Information on Alliance's Fares Also Included VANCOUVER, Canada,
Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- oneworld(TM), the leading quality
global airline alliance, has unveiled a new, more user- friendly
Web site (http://www.oneworld.com/ ), making it easier to check
flight schedules across its unrivalled global network, see where
its member airlines fly and learn how to book reservations with
oneworld member airlines. oneworld.com has been completely
redesigned with a fresh, stylish look, easier-to-follow navigation
and new features including: * An interactive network map, showing
every destination that oneworld airlines serve, as well as the
routes they fly from each of those airports. * The ability to
check, directly from the site's home-page, schedules for its member
airlines, affiliates and code-share partners, along with more
direct links to each airline's own Web site for customers who want
to book flights online. * More detailed information on the
alliance's unrivalled range of fares, including downloadable
brochures in a choice of nine languages, maps showing sample
itineraries and an interactive tool to help plan round- the-world
journeys. * Specific sites, in local languages, tailored to key
countries including Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands
and Switzerland, with pages dedicated to travel agents in each of
those countries. * Extensive links to the appropriate pages of its
member airlines' own Web sites for customers who want more
information about them or the alliance. "Our overall objective in
relaunching oneworld.com is to make it more useful to our
customers, rather than simply providing basic information about the
alliance," said oneworld Vice President-Commercial Nicolas Ferri.
"So we've made it easier for visitors to find the site's most
popular features and added new elements we know will be immensely
popular, like our new interactive network map." In addition to the
new enhancements, popular features that had already been on the
site have been retained and improved, such as: * Timetables
covering flights offered by all oneworld member airlines,
downloadable in formats for PCs and PDAs, or in PDF format. *
Details of oneworld's services and benefits for frequent flyers. *
Guides to key alliance hub airports and cities. * A new airport
lounge directory with information on more than 400 lounges
worldwide. * The alliance's online pressroom, including the latest
news, background information and downloadable logos and pictures.

five of its affiliates, plus Malev Hungarian and Royal Jordanian,
expanding coverage to nearly 100 more destinations and a half-dozen

oneworld oneworld brings together some of the best and biggest
names in the airline business -- American Airlines, British
Airways, Qantas, Iberia, Cathay Pacific, LAN, Finnair and Aer
Lingus, plus their dozen affiliates. Japan Airlines, Malev
Hungarian and Royal Jordanian will join them early next year. The
alliance enables its members to offer their customers more services
and benefits than any airline can provide on its own. These include
a broader route network, opportunities to earn and redeem frequent
flyer miles and points across the combined oneworld network, and
more airport lounges. oneworld is the only alliance to enable
passengers to fly throughout its network, on any combination of
carriers, using just electronic tickets. oneworld was voted the
World's Leading Airline Alliance for the third year running in the
latest World Travel Awards, which are based on votes cast by 80,000
travel agency professionals from more than 200 countries, and was
selected the World's Best Airline Alliance by readers of Business
Traveller magazine for the second year running in its 2005 poll.
