Deutsche Telekom AG (DT) said Thursday it will be challenging to achieve its earnings outlook for the year.

"We have a lot of work ahead of us to meet our guidance," Chief Financial Officer Timotheus Hoettges said at a press briefing.

In May, Telekom said it expects the Greek OTE group to boost the group's adjusted earnings before, interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization by around EUR2.0 billion over the eleven months of the 2009 financial year since its consolidation.

Stripped of OTE's contribution, Telekom forecast Ebitda, around 2% to 4% lower this year than the EUR19.5 billion a year earlier.

Deutsche Telekom also said it expects OTE to contribute around EUR0.6 billion to free cash flow, bringing the group total to around EUR7 billion.
