Change of date of Results Announcement

Amey plc announces a 24-hour delay in the publication of its Final Results for
2002.  The results are now going to be released on 26 March 2003.  The delay is
caused by a request from Amey's auditors, Grant Thornton, for additional time
to complete their review of the accounts.  The Directors continue to expect the
results to be in line with the financial figures provided in Amey's most recent
Circular to Shareholders on 26 February 2003.
