Mittal Steel Company Appoints New CEO for Mittal Steel Lazaro Cardenas ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands, May 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mittal Steel Company ("Mittal Steel"), the world's largest and most global steel company, today announces that it has appointed Mr P.S. Venkataramanan as Chief Executive Officer of Mittal Steel Lazaro Cardenas ("Lazaro Cardenas"). Mr. Venkataramanan has worked for Mittal Steel since 1993, when he joined Lazaro Cardenas (then Ispat Mexicana) as Manager, Sales and Marketing. He spent ten years in Mexico, rising to Director, Marketing, where he was responsible for overseeing and implementing the company's sales strategy and building long-term relationships with customers. During this period Lazaro Cardenas grew from being a 1 million ton to a 3. 5 million ton producer. Having successfully developed Lazaro Cardenas Sales and Marketing strategy, Mr. Venkataramanan then took up the position as Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Mittal Canada in 2004. Prior to joining Mittal Steel, he worked for the Steel Authority of India in various Sales and Marketing positions. Commenting, Lakshmi N.
